DARKPOOL CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH

SELECTED MANDATE SNAPSHOTS

ASSOCIATE PORTFOLIO MANAGER

For a boutique long/short
hedge fund

Our client requested a confidential search so that the senior executive team could determine a top-quality short-list prior to announcing the hire to the remainder of the team. It was important to the CEO and COO that the idea of a new team member be properly 'socialized' with their highly valued existing team, while still maintaining full control over the hire.

HEAD OF INVESTMENT BANKING

For a specialist mining boutique

Our client wanted to expand its team and add more leadership expertise to the group, while maintaining the remainder of the existing structure. Sensitive to the impact that inserting an additional layer of management above the current team would have, the executive team endeavoured to take the process as far as possible prior to announcing the organizational change. In narrowing the field of prospects to only finalists, senior management felt that presenting two to three high-quality prospective leaders to the team, as a final step in the process, would increase the team's likelihood of viewing the change as a positive one.

CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER

For a mid-sized asset manager

Our client, an OSC-regulated asset manager with PM/IFM/EMD registrations, a broad product line and a US-regulated entity required a replacement Chief Compliance Officer within a tight timeline.

The executive leadership team requested a confidential search in order to identify and hire a top-quality candidate prior to socializing the change with the existing team. A second key objective was to ensure a smooth transition from the perspective of the relevant regulators.
